Profile catalogue (PDF)
The aluminium profile catalogue in PDF format is an overview of the ranges of modular profiles: their cross-sections, dimensions and technical parameters. It serves as a reference when designing structures, from workbenches to machine frames.
What the catalogue contains
The profile catalogue summarises the individual ranges of modular aluminium profiles: cross-sections, dimensions and technical parameters. The profiles differ in the size of the slot along their full length, most often 6, 8 or 10 mm, and the connecting accessories are chosen according to it.
How to read the ranges by slot
- 6 mm slot: the lightest range. It suits small stands, equipment housings, display stands, protective frames and smaller furniture structures.
- 8 mm slot: the universal range, the usual standard for workbenches, machine frames, assembly workstations and conveyor structures.
- 10 mm slot: the strongest range for large machine frames, assembly lines, crane and handling structures and large spans. Higher load capacity and rigidity come at the cost of a higher profile weight.
In addition, the range includes special profiles: guide profiles (for linear guides and shafts), round and panel profiles.
What goes with the profiles
A structure made of profiles is completed by fasteners and accessories. Fasteners include, for example, corner angle brackets and corner connectors, cube connectors and joints, plates for T-joints and cross joints, angle connectors and brackets, complemented by T-nuts and T-bolts. Accessories comprise plastic end caps, slot cover strips, adjustable and mobile feet, castors, hinges, handles, cable holders, locks or magnets.
What to check in the catalogue before designing
First, check the slot size of the profile. Most accessories (end caps, T-nuts, feet) are made to a specific slot size and cannot be combined between ranges. The same applies to joining profiles: only profiles of the same slot range can be joined directly to each other.
How a finished joint is put together from profiles and accessories is described in the Structure assembly guide.
Frequently asked questions
What is in the profile catalogue?
An overview of the ranges of modular aluminium profiles: cross-sections, dimensions and technical parameters.
Which slot should I choose?
It depends on the load. The 6 mm slot is for light structures, 8 mm is the all-round standard for workbenches and machine frames, and 10 mm is the strongest series for heavy and large structures.
Can profiles with different slots be joined?
Not directly. Profiles can only be joined within the same slot series (6, 8 or 10 mm).
How do I find out which accessories go with a profile?
By slot size. End caps, T-nuts and feet are made for one specific slot size; you will find the compatibility at the given product.
What if I am not sure about my choice?
Write to us and we will help you choose the slot size and profile for your structure.
