Laminated chipboard

Laminated chipboard serves as the worktop for tables made of aluminium profiles and other structures in which the profiles provide the load-bearing function. The board is laid on top of the profiles and is supplied cut to size.

What laminated board is used for

Laminated chipboard is the working or top surface of a table. The load-bearing function is provided by the aluminium profile construction, and the board is laid onto it from above. This is how it is used on SSE tables and similar constructions, and also on tables from the system 30 and system 40 generator, whose worktop is made of 18 mm laminated board.

Thicknesses and versions

  • 18 mm thick board, as used on tables from the generator,
  • 25 mm thick board in a grey decor, intended as a worktop for tables made from profiles.

Board laid on profiles, or into the slot

The worktop is laid on top of the profiles, whereas thinner infill boards are inserted into the 10 mm slot in the profile. When choosing, it therefore matters whether the board is to serve as the top work surface or as an infill inserted into the construction.

Made to measure

You determine the dimensions of the board as needed, and we cut it to size. We make individual openings in worktops, for example for a scale or a scanner at a packing workstation.

Other board materials

For assembly tables we also offer worktops made of multiplex plywood or edge-glued beech panel (category Assembly tables and workstations).

What to put in the enquiry

State the dimensions of the board (length and width), the thickness, the number of pieces and, where applicable, the position of the openings, for example for a scale or scanner.

Frequently asked questions

What thicknesses of laminated chipboard do you offer?
18 mm and 25 mm. The 25 mm boards in a grey finish are intended as worktops for tables made of aluminium profiles.

Can the board be ordered made to measure?
Yes, we cut the board to size according to the dimensions you need.

How is a laminated board used on a profile table?
It is laid on top of the profile structure, and the profiles carry the load. Thinner infill panels, by contrast, are inserted into the slot of the profile.

Can a cut-out for a scale or scanner be made in the worktop?
Yes, we make custom openings in worktops for scales, scanners and similar equipment.

Do you have other materials for worktops?
For assembly tables, multiplex plywood and edge-glued beech board are also used.
