Van fit-outs for plumbers
Every plumber has their own habits and their own storage system in the vehicle. That is why we design the fit-out for a plumber around what they carry: hand tools and cordless tools, pressing equipment, installation materials and pipe systems, whether you work with water, heating, drainage, gas, or in emergency call-out service.
What a plumber carries
A plumber's van usually holds a mix of hand and battery-powered tools, press-fitting equipment, cutting and threading tools, installation material, pipe systems and protective equipment. The exact kit depends on the speciality: water, heating, drainage, gas or emergency repairs.
What gets stored in the fit-out
We expect it to hold, for example:
- PVC and HT drain pipes and fittings, PVC waste bends and pipes,
- PPR pipes and fittings for drinking water, and steel pipes,
- brass fittings, flexible connecting hoses, valve fittings and water meter assemblies,
- ball, angle and non-return valves, reducers, couplings, elbows and T-pieces,
- sealing materials: O-ring seals, sealing tapes, plumber's hemp, sealing paste, sanitary silicone, mounting foam and insulation sleeves,
- pipe holders, pipe clamps, wall plugs, screws and nuts and other small items.
Which system to choose
System 30, with its light construction and pull-out frames for any Euro boxes, suits small vans. For heavier-duty equipment, the 40 or 45 range is available. We will recommend the specific range during design, based on the vehicle and equipment.
Sorting in Euro boxes
Euro boxes of all sizes allow fittings, valves, seals and other installation material to be sorted clearly, and the boxes can be removed and swapped freely depending on the job you are heading out to. The boxes can sit on shelves with a light but solid base of film-faced poplar plywood, or have precisely shaped cradles that keep them stable even while driving. The cradles can be fitted with standard ball-bearing slides, turning the box into a full drawer with an automatic catch that stops it from sliding out on its own. There are several types of catch, so the system can be adapted to the nature of your work.
With a Euro box shelving unit, an upper block for longer items can also be added above the boxes.
Made to measure for your speciality
Water, heating, drainage, gas and emergency repairs each need different stock. We therefore adapt the layout of shelves, boxes and drawers to what you carry, and as soon as your jobs change, we will modify or rebuild the assembly.
Installation
Installation is only an optional service; you can also assemble the fit-out yourself. Anchoring goes into the reinforced parts of the vehicle body, i.e. the side panels and floor, and includes drilling in line with type-approval requirements.
