Mercedes van fit-outs

We build the aluminium profile shelving system in the same way for the Mercedes Vito and for its electric version, the eVito, and we adapt it in the same way for the Sprinter. It is never a finished part with fixed dimensions, but a fit-out to the millimetre around what you actually carry and which tools you need to have to hand.

Below you will find what distinguishes the versions of the Vito and the Sprinter.

Vito and eVito: the same build, a different version

We list the Vito body from 2014 in the Compact, Long and Extra Long versions, with the Mixto Long and Mixto Extra Long versions alongside them. The electric eVito is listed as Long and Extra Long. The principle of the fit-out is identical for the Vito and the eVito; only the vehicle body the shelving unit is fitted into differs.

You will find an overview of the available versions for your specific vehicle version on the page Mercedes Vito van fit-outs.

Sprinter: the year of manufacture and the drive decide

For the Sprinter, the vehicle body is divided by generation:

  • up to 2018 – designation 906, lengths L1 to L4 and heights H1 to H3,
  • from 2018 – versions with front-wheel drive (910) and with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (907),
  • electric eSprinter – front-wheel drive from 2019, rear-wheel drive from 2023.

Before choosing, therefore, go by the year of manufacture, the drive and the length and height designation of your vehicle. For the same length, the wheelbase can differ depending on the drive.

Underfloor storage and pull-outs

In vehicles with a low chassis, which include the Sprinter, usable space is created in the floor where you need to preserve the maximum size of the load platform above it. Euro boxes on pull-outs, in a layout of your own choosing, are a practical solution.

For heavier equipment, such as electric generators, individual pull-outs from the floor or from the side doors are suitable. We design the layout from a 3D model based on your specification – a hand sketch or a simple description is enough.

Additional load platform and pull-out floor

Another option is a removable additional load platform between the rear and side doors, above the wheel arches: it can be divided with partitions and any load capacity can be chosen for it. We make a pull-out floor exactly to your specification, and it can also be combined with an existing fit-out, for example as an additional pull-out for a bicycle.

Example assembly, or a custom order

Treat ready-made assemblies as a starting point: you can modify them, or choose entirely free dimensions, made to measure, as a custom fit-out. The custom route is well suited, for example, to the Mercedes Sprinter. Further specific versions will be added to the product cards as they are completed.

Installation and anchoring

In both the Vito and the Sprinter the structure is anchored to the reinforced parts of the vehicle body, i.e. the side panels and the floor. Installation therefore involves drilling into these places in line with type-approval requirements; vans usually have very few original anchor points. After installation, an entry in the vehicle's registration document follows.

Installation is optional. We carry it out in Prague, in Slavičín in the Zlín region or directly at your premises, but you can also do it yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Is the fit-out the same for the Mercedes Vito and the eVito?
The principle is the same: we build the shelving system from aluminium profiles identically for the Vito and the eVito. What differs is the body version the fit-out is adapted to.

What should I base my choice of Sprinter fit-out on?
On the year of manufacture (up to 2018, or later), the drive (front-wheel, rear-wheel or all-wheel drive) and the designation of the body length and height, for example L2H2.

How is the floor used in the Sprinter?
Underfloor storage preserves the maximum size of the load area above it; Euro boxes on pull-outs in any arrangement are practical. We design the layout from a 3D model based on your sketch or description.

Is the Sprinter fit-out the same for front-wheel and rear-wheel drive?
It need not be. We list the front-wheel-drive version (910) and the rear-wheel or all-wheel-drive version (907) as separate vehicle bodies, and the wheelbase may differ for the same length.

Can I install the fit-out in the Vito myself?
You can. Installation with us is an optional service; the shelving unit is a kit of aluminium profiles and, once delivered, it can be assembled yourself.
