Fit-outs for ventilation and air handling
A ventilation installer carries long and bulky items: round and rectangular ducting, flexible hoses, silencers, diffusers, fans and smaller units. Added to this are jointing and sealing materials, tapes, insulation and tools for sheet metal and riveting. Long ducting must not be bent or dented, and light but bulky parts need support so they do not tip over on the way.

The fit-out therefore includes longitudinal support beams and wide shelves for pipes, closed boxes for small hardware, screws and rivets, and pull-outs for heavier tools. Flow and pressure measuring instruments have padded boxes. Ladders and low step stools are carried in holders on the roof or along the wall. Parts for different jobs can be sorted into labelled boxes that are taken out whole on site.
